Drew Wellness Center Hosts National Nutrition Month Events

City of Columbia’s Charles R. Drew Wellness Center is doing its part to help keep the Midlands healthy. March is National Nutrition Month and Drew has events lined up to focus on nutrition awareness, the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

March is American Red Cross Month

March is American Red Cross Month and is a time for community members and businesses to join the Red Cross movement and help carry out its lifesaving mission with a gift of time, money or blood.

March was first proclaimed as Red Cross Month 70 years ago by resident Franklin D. Roosevelt. Since 1943, every president, including President Obama, has designated March as Red Cross Month. The American Red Cross is synonymous with helping people, and has been doing so for more than 130 years.

Bojangles’ Teams with Customers to Raise Money to Send Kids to MDA Summer Camp

For the 12th consecutive year, Bojangles’ is supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) through its Shamrocks Against Dystrophy® in-store fundraiser. Starting Friday, March 1, through Sunday, March 17, customers can once again support the organization by purchasing a green shamrock for $1 or gold shamrock for $5.

Richland County Goes RED
