The Forest Acres Police Department released video of a bank robbery that occurred Monday afternoon forcing at least one area school on lockdown while investigators searched for the suspect.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering the First Palmetto bank located at the intersection of Falcon Drive and Forest Drive armed with a gun.

In the video, the suspect walks up to the teller and demands money.

Lt. Bryant Hinson says it is unclear on how much money he got away with. No one was injured in the robbery.

As investigators searched the area, A.C. Flora High School was put on lockdown.  That lockdown has since been lifted, according to Hinson.

The Forest Acres Police Department says the suspect is described as a black male approximately 25 years old.  He was wearing an oversized grey coat with blue pants and dress shoes.  He had a white t-shirt on under the coat.

Hinson says they searched the area but believe he may have had a getaway car nearby.

We'll have more on this story as it develops.
